01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Situated in the vibrant neighborhood of Chicago’s Wicker Park, Ipsento 606 is a multifaceted gem that combines the artistry of coffee brewing with the conviviality of a neighborhood bar and eatery. This versatile spot seamlessly merges the worlds of coffee shop, cocktail bar, donut shop, ice cream shop, sandwich shop, small plates restaurant, and wine bar, offering something exceptional for every kind of visitor.

At the heart of Ipsento 606’s appeal is their expertly crafted draft coffee selection. Their Nitro draft coffee is a standout — perfectly chilled and infused with nitrogen, it pours with a mesmerizing cascading effect, delivering a frothy body and naturally sweet finish that elevates the coffee experience. The Black and Tan draft latte and the dairy-free Oat Milk Draft Latte, also nitrogen-infused, provide silky smooth textures and refreshing tastes that are equally delightful whether sipped leisurely or on the go.

Complementing their impressive beverage menu is an inviting assortment of pastries and grab-and-go snacks. Their Chocolate Almond Biscotti offers a satisfyingly crunchy, subtly nutty bite that pairs beautifully with their rich coffee. For those looking for a sweet indulgence, the daily selection of half-priced day-old pastries ensures you can savor quality treats without worry. On lighter days, fresh options like crisp apples, gluten-free cookies, and creamy yogurt parfaits provide a perfect balance.

The atmosphere at Ipsento 606 is a big part of what draws locals and visitors alike. Customers consistently praise the open, airy space filled with natural light streaming through large windows, offering cozy nooks perfect for reading, working, or simply watching the neighborhood pulse by. Audrey Pulliam affectionately describes it as her ideal remote work spot, highlighting how it truly feels like a “third place” — neither home nor office, but a warm, productive haven. Elizabeth Dorwart echoes this sentiment, noting the spot’s gentle hum of background noise that strikes a perfect balance for socializing or solo moments.

Community vibes run deep here. Lou Lou’s experience on a rainy day, enjoying an iced latte and one of the best mini donuts she’s ever had, captures the sense of comfort and hominess that Ipsento fosters. Meanwhile, Zack appreciates the cozy bar nook with its park views, even as he honestly notes the weekend rush and occasional wait times — a testament to the café’s well-earned popularity.

Whether you’re after a finely crafted coffee, a casual bite, or a welcoming place to unwind — Ipsento 606 effortlessly delivers on all fronts. Its unique blend of quality, warmth, and thoughtful detail makes it not just a coffee shop, but a beloved neighborhood hub where every visit feels personal and refreshing.

This is my favorite coffee shop to work remotely from. I love the open windows and the amount of setting they have available. It really does feel like a 3rd place!

An excellent place. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Whenever I can I go to this ipsento because I love the place, because they always treat me very well, because it is cheap and, most importantly, it is delicious. This is without a doubt one of the best coffees I have ever tried (not counting the delicious pastry foods they sell there). The place is very quiet so you can study there quietly or do your things peacefully without anyone bothering you or without hearing screams or loud noises. If you've never been, I recommend you come.

Cutie little neighborhood spot with your typical coffee shop menu! The vibes in here are good whether you want to sit on your own and read, meet up with a friend to chat, or work remotely for the morning. Plenty of tables and the volume was neither too loud nor too quiet.

I loved my time at this coffee shop! Stopped by on a rainy day and got an iced latte and a donut. Goodness gracious it was the best mini donut I’ve had! It looked like it was from a local place I’m not sure which though. The coffee was so tasty and refreshing. I sat at the bar area and even read a few pages. It was noisy but it felt like movie background noise. Clearly a community favorite!

The Ipsento latte is one of the best I’ve ever had and it’s great hot or iced. This is a really nice space and has a cute nook with large windows to look out on the park while reading, working, or conversing. The only downside is that it does get packed and is hard to get a seat on weekend mornings and afternoons. Drinks can also sometimes take a while to be made.

Was looking for a nice coffee shop in the city for breakfast and good coffee. After looking up many places, I decided on Ipsento 606. I made the right choice! They make all their syrups, pastries, and sandwiches. I went with a few friends, and everything we had was delicious! I was able to customize my sandwich and drink to my liking without any issues (Western sandwich and ipsento drink). One of my friends got tea that was very good and the other got the 606 sandwich and the Chaggacino. I really liked the atmosphere as well - it’s the perfect place to meet up with friends and chat. If I’m ever in the area again, I will return in a heartbeat!

THE coziest corner. The cardamom rose latte and all their teas are fabulous. Also recommend the sandwiches and pastries. Perfect for a snowy day.

My local coffee spot. Best part - great coffee. The cortado is strong, balanced, and perfect. Could drink these all day long, except my heart would eventually explode... Worst part - people camp out here for hours and hours, so if you're planning to sit you might be out of luck. When the sun's shining though the adorable little park next door can't be beat, that's where you'll find me sipping my third or fourth (who's counting?) cortado with my face facing the sun. Pastries (donuts and scones and such) are solid. The afogato was well made and served nicely. They do cocktails, beer and wine, and those are yummy too. Service can be slow when they're busy - this isn't an assembly line, "get 'em out the door" kind of place. But in exchange you get great coffee. Worth it.
